Anaheim: Female Pedestrian Gravely Injured After Being Struck By Motorcycle

10.02.2020 | 10:25 PM | ANAHEIM – A woman was gravely injured after she was struck by a motorcyclist while crossing a street, Friday night.

The crash was reported near the intersection of West Orangewood Avenue and South Oertley Drive around 10:25 PM.

When units arrived on scene they located a female pedestrian and a motorcycle rider that had collided and were down in lanes.

Firefighter paramedics treated both patients before transporting them to an area trauma center. The female pedestrian was reportedly in grave condition while the condition of the motorcycle rider remains unknown.

Initial reports indicate that the pedestrian was crossing southbound on West Orangewood Avenue near Diana Street/South Clementine Avenue when the motorcyclist, who was traveling eastbound, collided with her.

Both victims were thrown and came to rest near South Oertley Drive. It is believed the pedestrian was in a crosswalk at the time of the crash.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
