Anaheim: Woman Struck, Killed While Outside Vehicle After Crash

11.21.2020 | 2:56 AM | ANAHEIM – A woman was dead after she exited her vehicle following a two-car crash and was struck by another vehicle on a freeway, early Saturday morning.

The first crash involving a black 2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV and a silver 2016 Lexus IS 200 sedan was reported shortly before 3:00 AM on the westbound SR-91 Freeway near Euclid Street.

Shortly after the first crash another vehicle collided with the female driver of the Lexus leaving her down in lanes.

Firefighter paramedics rushed the downed woman to an area trauma center where she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The vehicle that struck the pedestrian, described only as a dark colored sedan, did not immediately stop according to reports from the scene.

All westbound lanes of the SR-91 Freeway were closed just east of Euclid Street while officers investigated what led up to the crash.
