Anaheim: Woman Trapped Inside Overturned Security Vehicle After Hit & Run Crash

12.13.2020 | 11:12 PM | ANAHEIM – A female security guard was trapped inside her overturned security vehicle after a hit-and-run crash, Sunday night.

The crash was first reported when a white 2018 Toyota Prius security vehicle and a dark colored 2003 Honda Accord collided on the southbound I-5 Freeway just north of the Katella Avenue exit around 11:12 PM.

The impact of the crash caused the Prius to overturn on top of the Accord, leaving the female driver and solo occupant of the Prius trapped inside.

A hispanic male driver from the Accord fled the scene on foot and was not immediately located.

Firefighter paramedics helped free the woman from her security vehicle before transporting her to UCI Medical Center with minor injuries.

The owner of the Honda Accord later attempted reporting the vehicle stolen in the City of Industry.

At least two lanes of the southbound I-5 Freeway were closed at Katella Avenue while police investigated the crash.
