Dana Point: Man Walking In Lanes Struck & Killed

08.29.2021 | 8:04 PM | DANA POINT – A man who was reportedly walking in lanes was struck and killed on an area freeway, Sunday night.

The crash involving a pedestrian was reported around 8:05 PM on the northbound I-5 Freeway just south of Pacific Coast Highway.

Reports indicate that the male pedestrian was walking in lanes when he was struck by a Ford Explorer and three other vehicles.

Firefighter paramedics responded to the scene to render aid but later pronounced the man deceased.

It was not immediately clear whether any other individuals were injured in the collision.

Traffic in the area was severely impacted for several hours while authorities investigated the fatal crash.
