Fountain Valley: Electrical Vault Bursts Into Flames, Injures Two Edison Workers

09.04.2020 | 10:53 PM | FOUNTAIN VALLEY – Two Southern California Edison workers were injured when an electrical vault they were working on burst into flames, Friday night.

The electrical vault fire was reported on Coley River Circle near Newhope Street around 10:53 PM.

When crews arrived on scene they located two Southern California Edison workers with burn injuries and a vault on fire.

Additional resources responded to help treat and transport both victims who were later transported to an area burn center in unknown condition.

The vault that burst into flames was quickly doused once both patients were transported from the scene.

An number of Southern California Edison crews arrived on scene to help repair the burned vault which also resulted in 43 customers losing power.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
