Fullerton: Freeway Crash Leaves One Dead, Two Injured

10.24.2021 | 8:50 PM | FULLERTON – A two-car crash left one person dead and two others injured, Sunday night.

The crash was reported on the southbound SR-57 Freeway just south of Yorba Linda Boulevard around 8:50 PM, according to a California Highway Patrol incident log and radio traffic,

When authorities arrived on scene they located three victims from a two-car crash involving a blue 2007 Honda Pilot and a white 2000 Ford utility vehicle.

One of the vehicles was reportedly wrapped around a tree with at least one victim trapped in the wreckage.

Firefighters worked to free the trapped victim in about 15 minutes before rushing them, along with another victim, to UCI Medical Center in unknown condition.

Despite their efforts firefighter paramedics pronounced the third victim deceased on scene.

The Ford was reportedly driving recklessly prior to colliding with the Honda, according to the incident log.

The right three lanes of the freeway were closed until further notice while authorities worked to investigate the fatal crash.
