Fullerton: Motorcyclist Killed In Crash With Elderly Driver

12.03.2022 | 9:54 AM | FULLERTON – A 27-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision with an elderly driver Saturday morning, police said.

The deadly collision occurred at intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and State College Boulevard around 9:54 AM when a Toyota Camry driven by an 82-year-old man collided with a 27-year-old male motorcyclist.

Both the motorcyclist and elderly driver were rushed to trauma centers. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased.

Preliminary reports indicate the motorcyclist was stopped facing westbound on Commonwealth in the intersection waiting for traffic to clear before making a southbound turn onto State College when he was struck by the Camry traveling northbound on State College.

The collision caused the Toyota to run of the roadway before striking a tree.

Drugs or alcohol were not believed to have been factors in the collision although the investigation is ongoing.
