Garden Grove: Ambulance Strikes Overhanging Tree While Transporting Patient

12.12.2021 | 10:35 PM | GARDEN GROVE – An EMT was injured when an ambulance that was transporting a patient struck the limb of an overhanging tree, Sunday night.

The impact was reported around 10:35 PM when a Care Ambulance Service ambulance struck the overhanging tree limb while traveling eastbound on Garden Grove Boulevard near Newhope Street.

A second ambulance quickly arrived on scene to continue transporting the patient from the first ambulance.

Firefighter paramedics also evaluated, and later transported one of the two EMTs from the ambulance to an area hospital.

No other vehicles were believed to have been involved in the incident.
