Garden Grove: Pedestrian Walking In Intersection Struck, Killed By Vehicle

11.28.2022 | 11:45 PM | GARDEN GROVE – A pedestrian walking in the middle of an intersection was struck and killed by a vehicle, Monday night.

The pedestrian, who’s identity was not immediately released, was found unresponsive in lanes Chapman Avenue near Medina Drive after being struck by a vehicle around 6:51 PM.

Medics attempted to revive the pedestrian but ultimately pronounced them deceased on scene.

Police say the pedestrian was walking in the middle of the intersection when they were struck by a passing motorist who could not see them.

The driver reportedly stayed on scene and was cooperating with law enforcement.

Drugs or alcohol were not believed to be a factor in the deadly crash but the investigation is ongoing.
