09.20.2021 | 12:49 AM | LOS ANGELES – A man was shot to death after an apparently botched drug deal, early Monday morning.

The shooting occurred in the parking lot of an Arby’s restaurant in 5400 block of Sunset Boulevard, located in the Hollywood area, around 12:49 AM.

When units arrived on scene they located a man in his 30s in a car who had been shot during what they learned was a botched drug deal.

The man was pronounced deceased on scene and police were looking for the shooter who fled the scene prior to their arrival.

Initial reports indicate the victim was purchasing drugs from another man, also a man in his 30s, when a dispute arose and the drug dealer shot the man.

All lanes of Sunset Boulevard were closed between Bronson Avenue and Gordon Street while authorities investigated the fatal shooting.
