Huntington Beach: Drunken Swimmer Rescued From Ocean

05.08.2020 | 11:31 PM | HUNTINGTON BEACH – A drunken swimmer was rescued from the ocean by lifeguards, late Friday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a missing swimmer at the Huntington City Beach located in the 21300 block of Oceanfront around 11:31 PM.

Units arriving scene were assisted by a police helicopter that located the missing swimmer in the water near Lifeguard Tower 9.

Lifeguards entered the water and were able to reach the swimmer who they pulled from the water.

The swimmer, an adult female, was treated on scene by firefighter paramedics before being transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.

Police were requested to follow-up with the woman because the woman was drunk.

It was unclear what, if any, charges the woman might face.
