Irvine: Marijuana Delivery Driver Robbed At Gunpoint

02.14.2020 | 9:25 PM | IRVINE – A marijuana delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint by a suspect who remains at large, Friday night.

Authorities responded to reports of an armed robbery near the intersection of Main Street and Siglo around 9:25 PM.

Units arriving on scene learned that a marijuana delivery driver had responded to the location to delivery marijuana when the purported customer produced a handgun and robbed the delivery driver.

The suspect, described as a male adult in a red shirt with grey pants, fled the scene on foot with money and marijuana products.

Officers established a perimeter and searched the area using a helicopter and drone along with a police K-9 but did not locate the suspect.

After several hours of searching a perimeter in the area of the robbery was disbanded.

No additional details were immediately available.
