07.17.2021 | 2:42 AM | IRVINE – A woman was rescued by firefighters after she became trapped in her overturned vehicle following a crash, early Saturday morning.
The crash was reported around 2:42 AM on the MacArthur Boulevard ramp to the northbound I-405 Freeway.
When authorities arrived on scene they located a white 2017 Toyota Rav4 on its roof near the beginning of the freeway entrance ramp.
The female driver and solo occupant of the Toyota was trapped in the wreckage and had to be freed by firefighters.
She was later transported by ambulance to an area hospital with minor injuries, according to radio traffic.
The cause of the crash is under investigation and no other vehicles were believed to have been involved.
