Orange: High School Student Cut With Knife By Another Student During Fight

12.08.2022 | 1:07 PM | ORANGE – A high school student sustained injuries following a fight involving another student with a knife, Thursday afternoon.

Authorities responded to reports of a student with a laceration to his hand caused by a knife at Orange High School, located in the 500 block of North Schaffer Street, around 1:07 PM.

Police learned that the victim has sustained a laceration to his hand when another student suspect pulled a knife during fight. The student with the knife fled the scene prior to the arrival of police but was known to police.

A brief lockdown was in place while medics treated the victim and transported them to an area hospital where they were in stable condition.

It was unclear if the fight occurred on campus or nearby.

The circumstances surrounding the fight remain under investigation and the student that fled is being sought by police.
