Santa Ana: Attackers Intentionally Strike Man With Car Before Assaulting Him

09.07.2021 | 10:11 PM | SANTA ANA – A man was seriously injured after being intentionally struck by a vehicle and then assaulted by several assailants who later fled the scene, Monday night.

Authorities responded to reports of an assault victim down in the 4200 block of West 1st Street, outside the Parkside Court Apartments, around 10:11 PM.

Units arriving on scene located an adult male down near the roadway who they learned had been intentionally struck by a vehicle before being pummelled by an unknown number of assailants from three different vehicles.

Firefighter paramedics treated the male victim on scene before rushing him to UCI Medical Center in serious condition.

Initial reports indicate that the vehicles were following the victim as he walked down the street shortly before the attack.

Officers were interviewing at least one witness on scene and conducting follow-up in order to identify the assailants and their vehicles.
