Santa Ana: Body Of LAFD Firefighter Escorted To Coroner’s Office Following Off-Duty Death

11.09.2022 | 10:30 PM | SANTA ANA – The body of a Los Angeles Fire Department firefighter found dead at home was escorted to a coroner’s office, Wednesday night.

A plethora of police and fire department vehicles escorted the body of Kenneth E. Brink, of Costa Mesa, to the Orange County Coroner’s Office, located in the 1000 block of West Santa Ana Boulevard, around 10:30 PM.

Brink, a firefighter assigned to LAFD Fire Station No. 88, was found dead at his Costa Mesa home while off-duty, sources said.

Brink was described as a 15-year veteran of the Los Angeles Fire Department and highly respected member of its Urban Search & Rescue Task Force.

The circumstances surrounding Brink’s death remain under investigation.
