Santa Ana: Firefighters Cut Open Roof To Free Man Trapped In Rollover Crash

11.10.2022 | 9:19 PM | SANTA ANA – A man was freed by firefighters who cut open his vehicle’s roof with the Jaws of Life, Thursday night.

The two-car crash involving a black 2018 Ford Fusion and a black 2018 Nissan Rogue occurred at the intersection of East MacArthur Boulevard and MacArthur Place around 9:19 PM.

When authorities arrived they located the Nissan on its side with one person trapped inside.

Firefighters stabilized the Nissan before using the Jaws of Life to remove the vehicle’s roof and extricate the victim inside.

Medics transferred the victim, who appeared alert, into an awaiting ambulance.

The driver of the Ford declined medical treatment.

Police are on scene investigating the cause of the crash.
