Santa Ana: Man Left To Die By Hit & Run Drivers

11.05.2021 | 1:20 AM | SANTA ANA – A man was struck by a vehicle and left to die by a two hit-and-run drivers, early Friday morning.

The pedestrian-involved crash was reported in the 800 block of South Fairview Street, just north of McFadden Avenue, around 1:20 AM.

When authorities arrived on scene they located a pedestrian, identified only as a male Hispanic in his 40s) with major head trauma down in northbound lanes.

First responders attempted to render aid but, despite the efforts their efforts, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Two vehicles, one of which struck the pedestrian, stopped at the scene to assist but two other vehicles that struck the pedestrian continued on.

The vehicles that continued on are described as an early 2000s Mercedes sedan and a newer model Hyundai.

Officers are analyzing parts left by the vehicles and possible surveillance footage in the area in order to locate the hit-and-run drivers.
