Santa Ana: Man Stabbed During Altercation

05.17.2020 | 1:38 AM | SANTA ANA – One man was injured after being stabbed by a suspect who fled the scene, early Sunday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of an assault victim near the intersection of East First and South Oak streets around 1:38 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a male victim down in an alleyway suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Firefighter paramedics treated the victim on scene before transporting him to UCI Medical Center in stable condition.

Initial reports indicate the victim was involved in an altercation with a Hispanic male adult who pulled out a knife and began stabbing.

The suspect, whose name is known to authorities, fled the scene in a white 2007 Nissan Maxima but was not immediately taken into custody.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing is underway.
