Santa Ana: Police Raid Slap House, Detain Multiple Participants

02.03.2021 | 9:30 PM | SANTA ANA – About 15 people were detained after officers raided a slap house, Wednesday night.

A SWAT team along descended on the illegal gambling establishment located in the 1100 block of South Main Street around 9:30 PM to serve a search warrant.

The heavily armed officers surrounded the building and commanded the occupants inside to exit.

Approximately 15 people exited the building and were detained while investigated confiscated evidence from within the gambling business.

It is unclear if the raid is related to a recent shooting at another slap house that left four injured.

The term “slap houses” refers to the sound of gamblers slapping buttons inside the illegal gambling sites.
