Santa Ana: Pursuit Ends With Woman Being Arrested

10.15.2021 | 11:02 PM | SANTA ANA – A woman was arrested after leading officers on a pursuit that started in Fullerton, Friday night.

The pursuit was initiated after a female adult driving a black 2016 Nissan Leaf took off from Fullerton police officers on a traffic stop near the intersection of East Chapman Avenue and the SR-57 Freeway sometime around 10:45 PM.

Officers chased the driver southbound on the SR-57 and I-5 freeways before exiting in the city of Santa Ana and stopping on East Fourth Street around 11:02 PM.

The woman, who was not immediately identified, was arrested without incident and expected to be charged with fleeing from police.

Radio reports indicated that the woman may have been suspected of DUI but a police watch commander could not immediately confirm that information.
