Santa Ana: Several Cars Damaged, Dog Dead After Tree Fire Spreads

01.23.2022 | 3:40 AM | SANTA ANA – Several vehicles were damaged and a dog was dead after a tree fire spread to a shed in the backyard of a home, early Sunday morning.

The fire broke out in the 1400 block of 7th Street, near North Pacific Avenue, around 3:40 AM.

When crews arrived on scene they located several trees engulfed in flames that had spread to a shed and nearby vehicles.

Firefighters worked to quickly extinguish the blaze while being mindful of nearby downed power lines.

It took about 30 minutes to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby homes.

No injuries were reported but sadly a dog died in the fire.

Radio traffic indicated about 6 vehicles were damaged in the blaze.

Fire investigators are on scene working to determine the cause of the blaze.
