Santa Ana: Suspected DUI Driver Surrenders After Pursuit

01.23.2021 | 1:06 AM | SANTA ANA – A suspected DUI driver led officers on a short pursuit before eventually surrendering, early Saturday morning.

Santa Ana police officers attempted to stop a silver Acura TLX driving erratically around 1:06 AM in the but the driver failed to yield.

A slow-speed pursuit that lasted under 10 minutes ensued before the driver eventually came to a stop on South Standard Street, just north of Warner Avenue, and surrendered.

The solo male driver was taken into custody and expected to be charged with DUI and evading.

Police are expected to impound the suspect’s vehicle.
