04.22.2021 | 2:27 AM | SANTA ANA – A suspicious fire burned along a freeway wall before being extinguished by firefighters, early Thursday morning.
Callers first reported the fire burning along the southbound I-5 Freeway near Grand Avenue around 2:27 AM.
Crews located the fire burning vegetation along a freeway wall just south of Grand Avenue and repositioned to better attack the flames from off the freeway.
After accessing the blaze from an empty lot near the former O.C. Register building firefighters made quick work of the fire, achieving knockdown in about 10 minutes.
No injuries were reported and fire investigators were working to determine the cause of the fire.
