Santa Ana: Woman Struck By Gunfire, Car Heavily Damaged After House Party

11.07.2021 | 12:13 AM | SANTA ANA – A woman was injured after the vehicle she was riding in was shot at in a bizarre incident that also left another vehicle heavily damaged, early Sunday morning.

The incident began to unfold shortly before 12:15 AM when gunfire rang out near a house party in the 1000 block of West 2nd Street.

A witness reported that a grey 2018 Infiniti Q50 drove by the house party when several shots were fired and then fled into a parking lot located in the 1000 block of West 1st Street.

Another shooting occurred in the parking lot and the Infiniti struck a parked vehicle, forcing it into a brick wall.

The driver of the Infiniti then returned to the 2nd Street location with a female passenger who had been struck by gunfire.

Firefighter paramedics treated the female victim on scene before transporting her to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation but is believed to have stemmed from the house party.
