Stanton: Woman Killed By Hit & Run Driver

03.04.2022 | 8:45 PM | STANTON – A 68-year-old woman was killed by a hit-and-run driver as she crossed a street, Friday night.

The woman was struck in a crosswalk at the intersection of West Cerritos Avenue and Dale Street around 8:45 PM.

When authorities arrived they located the woman down and rushed her to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced deceased. Her identity was not immediately released.

The driver and vehicle that are believed to have struck the woman fled the scene and were being sought by police.

The vehicle was described only as being smaller in size and possibly dark green in color.
