Tustin: Elderly Pedestrian Struck, Killed By SUV

02.04.2020 | 6:21 AM | TUSTIN – A 95-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by an SUV, early Tuesday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Red Hill Avenue and San Juan Street around 6:21 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a elderly male pedestrian, later identified as 95-year-old Francisco Juarez of Tustin, down in the roadway with major injuries.

Firefighter paramedics attempted to perform life-saving measures but later pronounced Juarez deceased on scene.

The driver of the vehicle that struck Juarez, a blue Toyota SUV, remained on scene and was cooperating with law enforcement.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
