Tustin: Firefighters Free Woman From Overturned Car

05.21.2021 | 9:30 PM | TUSTIN – Firefighters helped free a woman who became trapped in her overturned vehicle after a freeway crash, Friday night.

Callers reported the crash involving two-vehicles at the end of the southbound SR-55 Freeway transition road to the southbound I-5 Freeway around 9:30 PM.

When units arrived on scene they located a silver Hyundai sedan on its roof along with a black Tesla with moderate damage.

The female driver of the Hyundai was trapped in her vehicle and had to be assisted by passing paramedics until firefighters arrived to free her from the vehicle.

The woman was treated on scene before being transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.

At least 100 vehicles were stopped on the transition road while authorities worked to clear the scene.
