Tustin: Firefighters Quickly Extinguish Brush Fire That Spread From Vault

02.10.2022 | 10:04 PM | TUSTIN – A small brush fire that ignited after flames engulfed a telecommunications vault was quickly extinguished by firefighters, Thursday night.

The vegetation fire was reported near the end of Peters Canyon Road, near Turnleaf Lane, around 10:04 PM.

Firefighters quickly arrived on scene from a nearby station and located a telecommunications vault engulfed in flames that were spreading to nearby vegetation.

Crews quickly doused the flames and extinguished the blaze before it could spread into thicker brush.

It was not immediately clear what caused the vault to catch fire but utility company representatives were requested to the scene.
