Westminster: Firefighters Cut Off Car Door To Free Trapped Woman

12.01.2022 | 8:33 PM | WESTMINSTER – A woman was freed by firefighters following a crash that left her trapped in a vehicle, Thursday night.

The two-vehicle collision was reported near the intersection of Westminster Boulevard and Deodara Drive around 8:33 PM.

When authorities arrived they found two victims in a Toyota Camry. One of the victims, a female passenger, was seriously injured and trapped in the vehicle.

Firefighters worked for to free the trapped woman in an extrication that lasted less than 15 minutes.

Medics later rushed the woman and along with the driver of the Camry to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The driver of the second vehicle involved refused transport and was cooperating with law enforcement.

Drugs or alcohol are not believed to have been a factor in the crash but the incident remains under investigation.
